LADYBRAND: WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION
Residents are hereby informed that there will be a temporary interruption of water supply due to maintenance works taking place at Genoa Water Treatment Works.
Interruption is currently in effect and water supply restoration is expected at 16h00 today.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and cooperation during this maintenance period.

NOTICE: HOBHOUSE - WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION
Kindly note that there will be a temporary water interruption today(21 May 2026) due to mechanical works currently taking place at water treatment plant.
Interruption will commence at 12h00 and supply is expected to be restored at 17h00.
Residents are advised to store enough water for domestic use during this period.

Mantsopa Local Municipality (MLM) today met with greater Hobhouse residents at Dipelaneng Public Library Hall as part of their Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget Process Plan.
Mantsopa entourage spearheaded by Municipal Manager (MM), Ms. Matiro Mogopodi and Chief Finance Officer (CFO), Mr Takalani Tshukundu presented the Draft 2026/27 IDP and Budget Plan in the presence of Ward 2 Councillor, Justice Lemphane.
They gathered the inputs from the residents in order to align their budget with community needs in terms of Chapter 4 of the Municipal Systems Act.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF JOUBERT STREET Kindly note that Joubert Street, the main road when entering Ladybrand town, will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic due to ongoing repair and maintenance work on a leaking water pipe. The repair is being carried out by the Water Division in collaboration with the Roads Division. Duration: Expected to be reopened later this afternoon. Alternative Route: Motorists are advised to use Prinsloo Street. Motorists are kindly requested to: Use Prinsloo Street when entering or leaving town. pumping operations at Geona Water Treatment Plant have been temporarily suspended due to technical problems.
This problem is currently being addressed and estimated restoration time is not yet known.
